Today'! new picture at the
Craterian Theatre is "Desperate
Journey," starring Errol Flynn
and Ronald Reagan in a story
that fully lives up to its excit
ing title. The thrill-packed film
tells about the extraordinary
adventures of five members of
a British Hudson bomber who
are shot down while on a bomb
ing mission over Germany.
Other members of the crew
who find themselves prisoners
of the Nazis along wtih Flynn
and Reagan are Alan Hale, Ar
. thur Kennedy and Ronald Sin-
clair. Questioned in detail- by a
Nazi Intelligence officer, played
)by Raymond Massey, the five
fugitive Englishmen escape from
the prison camp, after Ronald
Reagan puts Massey to sleep
with a hard right to the jaw.
Slowly, and traveling only by
night, they make their desper
ate Journey across Germany
toward the Holland border.
They get a break by overpower
ing some Nazi guards and tak
ing their uniforms. Now, dis
guised as German soldiers, they
stand a good chance of being
shot as spies, but they have also
Increased their possibilities of
escape.
After leading the Gestapo a
merry chase across the rest of
Germany and a good part of Hol
land, they steal a reconditioned
British bomber which the Ger-
mans were going to use In a
"sneak ra'd on London. It is a
desperate fight against over
whelming odds but the intrepid
Britishers are successful and
make their getaway.
"Desperate Journey" plays for
three days.

Lyle Talbot has the colorful
starring role of an American
captain in the British organiza
tion who is sent on a hazardous
mission to Norway. His com
panions are Charles Rogers as
a cockney radio operator, and
George Neise as a Norwegian
lieutenant who has escaped
from his native land upon ar
rival of the invaders.
