1942-1943 Budget Estimates for Jackson County
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8, Chapter 448 of the 1933 Session Lt of Oregon end Section 31, Chapter 440 of
the 1941 Laws of Oregon, notice is hereby given that the County Court of Jackson County, Oregon, will meet at the Court House
in Medford Oregon, on the 29th day of June, 1942, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock A. M. of said dy and at the said time and place
opportunity will be given for the full and complete discussion of the estimates of the amount of money proposed to be raised by
taxation for the ensuing year as published herewith by any taxpayer subject to such levy when made in favor of or aga:nst any
of the proposed tax levies herein as the County Court may deem for the best interest of Jackson County. ..
The County Budget Committee for Jackson County, Oregon, has prepared and submits the following: An estimate of the
mount repulsed for each County department of County government. County office and County officer, each County improvement
of each County building, structure or institution, the salary of each County officer or employee, Including those whose salar es
re fixed by statute, for the improvement and maintenance of public highways, roads, bridges, the construction, operation and main
tenance of each public utility and redemption of outstanding warrants, the estimate of public receipts of the County from sources
other than direct taxation upon real and personal property in the County during the period for which such tax is to be levied and
an estimate of the probable unapporti.Tand unexpended balance in the funds of the County on the last day of the current year.
The officers' salaries, the County School Fund for 11,000 children at $10.00 per child, the County School and School Library Fund
for 11,000 children at .10 cents per child and the County Library Fund at 210 of a mill are fixed by law.
