Given Many Children

The children's playground on
East Main street will be open
Wednesday, Thursday and Sat
urday of this week. As soon as
enough volunteer adult play
ground supervision can be se
cured the grounds can be open
five or six days a week.

last Saturday. Mrs. Linn Shields,
Mrs. J. W. Graham and Mrs. R.
D. Porter were volunteer atten
dants In charge.
The project Is under supervi
sion of the Works Projects Ad
ministration, sponsored by the
local defense recreation com
mittee and local Parent-Teach
ers association groups.
All children between two and
10 years may be left at the play
ground. Parents are requested
to bring their children, rather
than to send them to the
grounds alone. Three hours is
the maximum time any child
should stay.
