about 1:30 this afternoon. Flames
slightly damaged the roof of a
residence at 1020 Court street
occupied by Harry H. Day. The
house Is owned by Nora Darby
of Griffin Creek. The pumper
answered the call.
Workers Injured Thomas Mc
Grath and O. L. Brannon, can
tonment workers, were taken to
the Community hospital this
morning for treatment of In
juries. McGrath suffered a back
injury the extent of which was
not entirely determined and
Brannon was treated for a
sprained foot. McGrath, a car
penter, is said to have fallen
from the second story to the first
floor of one of the buildings.

Twenty-one young Americans
will be presented on the stage
between shows in a special "4-H
Victory Revue." These young
people will represent a cross
section of Jackson county 4-H
members. The highlight of the
revue will be a 4-H style show.
which will feature party, play
and house dresses actually made
by young 4-H members.
"Young America," starring
Jane Withers, Is a happy story
with a background of 4-H club
work. Miss Withers Joins a 4-H
club and with them brines
about a grand climax that is
proof of the strength of "young
America in uniting and mobil
izing their efforts toward an al
lied victory.
Others in the cast will be
