trom Europe todav by the Ao-

recently visited Parle reported
that tlx German officers were
hot and a score of others sent
to prison camps tn Poland on
charges nf negligence at tha
time of the RAF raid on tha
Paris area March 3.
These reports said thil almost
all the officers in charge of the
air defen.es of the city were
attending a gala rartv at a
luxurious nlsht club, the Bal
Tabarin. that night aid knew
nothing about the raid until the
bombs had been falling for some
time on the big Renault motor,
car plants on the Seine.
Among the officers at the
party It was said were those re
sponsible for sounding an alert.
These reports said the noise
of the Dirty was so great that .
the officers failed to hear the
bombs and probably would not
have known of it . until It wa
all over had not the manager
happened to go outside and
returned to Inform them.
