Seattle, March 26. (IP) De

said today that Miss Dorothy
McCarthy, 30, Yakima, Wash
dental technician, had confess
ed cashing $450 in checks with
Seattle and Spokane bank tell
ers so dazzled by her charm
they didn't notice the checks
were forged or not covered by
deposits.
"They were absolutely the
worst forgeries I have ever
seen," Borneman added.
"I missed out on a $50,000
estate when my father died."
he quoted the young woman as
saying explaining why she
wrote the checks. "A salary of
$25 a week didn't seem much
after that. Pretty soon I lost
my job. Then I started writing
checks."

A will contest case involving
a bequest to the Ashland City
library and the Ashland com
munity opened in circuit court
today. The bequest was made
in the will of the late F. Zana.
In the action, Mrs. Domenica
Senestrato and G. H. Billings,
as executor of the will, are su
ing Harriet Howard Highbarger
and others, for home property.
Zana, under the will, left the
property to his widow, now de
ceased. If the plaintiffs prevail
the bequest to Ashland would
be diminished.
Taking of testimony In the
contest of the will of the late
Caroline Epley, long time resi

city, was concluded yesterday.
A deposition will be filed later
by a resident of Washington, D.
C. Decision in the case was
