The annual congregational
meeting of Zion English Luth
eran church was held Wednes
day evening in the church par
lors. Following a potluck supper
sponsored by the Women's Mis
sionary society, councilmen
were elected for the coming year
and plans laid for future church
activities.
The following councilmen
were chosen and will be lnstal-
led at the regular Sunday morn-
ing service: Paul B. Rynning,
Haakon Lageson, Arne Christen
sen, and A. R. Hopfer. These
men, together with Carl Loiland
and Lloyd Hubbard whose terms
have not yet expired, will serve
the church for the coming year.
During the supper hour those
who attended were entertained
by members of the Luther
league. A sacred number was
sung by a girls' quartet com
posed of Myra Bali, Nancy
Swem, Norma Jean Steinbrech
er and Dorothy Hanson accom
panied by Miss Verna Paulson
at the piano. Roger Hogstrom
presented two piano solos and
Dorothy Hanson played two
numbers on the accordion.
Extensive Lenten activities
were planned for the near fu
ture and a Young Married
Couple's club will be formed by
the young married folk of the
