The signal for action In the long
awaited straightening of the
Ashland plaza corner in the Pa

the form of official notices for
owners and tenants of affected

Presumably, work In demol

ings along the plaza will com
mence immediately after that
date. Most of the buildings
from Oak street on E. Main to
Water street on N. Main will
be eliminated by the highway
modernization.
Major i,construcMon project,
involving present buildings, will
involve) tbe H. L. Claycomb
property adjacent to Water
street. Two buildings there.
Jousiitg the Claycomb and Beare

tne new nign-
Also, there appears the pos
sibility that the buildings hous
ing the Billings Agency and J.
D. Mars and Son shoe shop
might be partially used, with
the rear parts of present build
ings remodeled.
i However, most of the present
buildings, occupied by the Log
Cabin, Postal Telegraph com
pany, Roblson Real Estate of
fice, Mitchell's Barber Shop,
Herbert Grocery store, No-Delay
cafe .and Harrison Parts com
pany, will be completely razed.
