Seldom, if ever, has there
been a screen program so com
plete as that opening a four day
engagement today at the Cra
terian theatre.
Topping the program Is the
feature picture, "Sundown,"
film adaptation of the Saturday
Evening Post serial of the same
title, with Gene Tierney,
George Sanders and Bruce Ca
bot heading a large cast. Filled
with adventure and romance,
set against the colorful back
ground of Africa's desert sands,
"Sundown" is the type of mo
tion picture that has always
proved Immensely popular with
anowgoers,
But, in speaking of the Cra
terian program, one cannot help
but mention the supporting
short subjects. Walt Disney's
technicolor cartoons are always
a decided hit and his newest,
"Orphan's Benefit," with Mick

To the editor: With due re
spect to Carole Lombard I can
not help but feel that the loss
of movie star can in no way
compare with the loss of the
fifteen officers and men in the
army air service command who
lost their lives in the same crash.
We have but few, if any, movie
stars who can not be replaced
perhaps not in our personal ad
miration, but in acting. But it
takes a lot of time to train these
pilots fifteen is a terrible loss.
We seem to forget they were
on this plane going we know
not where, but we mav rest as-
sured they were en route some
where in defense of their coun
try. Headlines now, mean nothing
to Miss Lombard nor to the
pilots, but I feel sure that Miss
Lombard would have us read

booked into the Rialto theatre
for showing next Tuesday and
Wednesday, January 27 and 28.

tures company, the featurette
will play in addition to the two
regular features which will be
announced later.

of aviation from the Wright
brothers to our present day

the tragic flight of Wiley Post
and Will Rogers who perished
in Alaska; the escape of the
Dirigible Akron with ground
crew hanging to the hopes and
dropping oft to their death; the
burning of the Hlndenburg; and
the crackup of the DiPenedo at
tempt to fly the ocean.
