the one he let go by. He said
the car being towed was un
lighted and he did not see It.

Driver Fined Mrs Ruth Gar
rett of 240 South Holly street
was fined $23 by Judge W. W.
Allen In city court this morning
when she pleaded guilty to a
charge of reckless driving. City
police charged that Mrs. Gar
rett's car ran into an auto oper
ated by Owen E Davis on West
Main street at Oakdal avenue
at 1:13 a. m. December 4. Her
car was over on the wrong side
of the center stripe and she had
no operator's license, the police
report stated.
Dinner Postponed Announce
ment was made today that the
Rogue River Civic club chicken
pie dinner and carnival sched
uled for tonight at Rogua River
has been postponed. The affair
was a library benefit and those
having tickets war asked to
keep them as the dinner will
be held later.
Fined $23 Vera T. Norris,
described by police as a tran
sient Medford resident, was
fined $23 in city court yester
day afternoon on charges of
disorderly conduct and uttering
obscene language. He pleaded
guilty to creating a disturbance
at a house where he one re
sided. a
