Presented Saturday
Jolly Rogers club will present
"Peter Pan" at the St. Mark'!
parish' hall Saturday at 8 p. m.
The stage adaptation if taken
from Sir James Borne'a famed
book and the cast has been re
hearsing in anticipation of the
event. Proceeds from the affair
will benefit "Bundles for Brit
ain." Tickets may be secured at
the door or from Mrs. Dwight
' Firidley, who is chairman of the
ticket sale.
Mrs. Kincsid to'
Speak on Mexcio
Mrs. Wilna Kincald will be
fuest speaker at the A.A.U.W.
meeting to be held Saturday at
,the home of Mrs. Zoe Byington,

Mrs. Kincaid will talk on Mexico
having spent the summer in that
country. Music will be furnished
by the high school sextet under
the: direction of Miss Helene

eral Directors held a dinner
meeting in Hotel Holland last
night to receive reports from
delegates who' attended the an
nual convention of the National
Funeral Directors association In
St. Louis, Mo., two weeks ago.

George Ryan of Portland,
executive secretary of the Ore
gon Funeral Directors associa
tion, gave a report of the con
vention. Speaking on profes
sional subjects were H. W. Con
ger of Medford, C. M. Lltwiller
of Ashland, Andrew Ward of
Klamath Falls and Will Dodge
of Ashland.
Next meeting will be held In
Ashland, at which time officers
for the coming year will be
elected.
Salvation Army Board
To Meet at Luncheon
The scheduler! meeting of the
advisory board of the Salvation
Army has been changed from
the breakfast hour to the lunch
eon hour In the Hotel Jackson
tomorrow, It was announced to
day by George T. Frey, chair
man. The board members are to
formulate Christmas activities
with Lieut. -Col. and Mm. A. D.
Jackson of Portland, divisional
commander, and local officers
of the Salvation Army corps.
The meeting was deferred from
breakfast to lu: h because of
the inability of the Jacksons to
arrive on time.
FOUR FATALITIES
Salem, Nov. 14. Four
fatalities and 764 accidents were
reported to the state Industrial

Little Medford Actresses
Dedicate Play to British
At 8 o'clock tomorrow night 23 little American girls of Med
ford will present an adaptation of Barrie's Peter Pan at St.
Mark's Guild hall on Nirth Oakdale avenue at Fifth street.
There will be laughter and gaiety in the hearts of these little
actresses of the Jolly Rogers club but over In England there
will be many a child lying patiently in a hospital bed, hoping
and praying to recover from the injuries and scars of ugly war.
As they present their whim
sical play, the 23 girls of the
Jolly Rogers club will be think
ing of the little children on hos
pital cots in England, for it is
for their benefit that the Med
ford youngsters are staging the
play. Today these 23 youthful
actresses, ranging in age from
8 to 12, made an appeal for a
large attendance at their play
so that they might be of the
greatest assistance possible to
the suffering children of Eng
land. Tickets may be procured
at the door or reserved by tel
ephoning Mrs. Dwight II. Find
ley at 3452. Grown-ups who
have kept an eye on the Jolly
Rogers girls declared the young
sters have put their hearts Into
long rehearsals for several
weeks In order to present a good
show, one worth seeing. "We
just can't afford to let them
down now," said a spokesman
ip urging large attendance.
Proceeds from the play will
go to. Bundles for Britain but
the money will be specifically
earmarked to maintain two
wards for war-injured children
in the Royal Free hospital, Lon
don. It has been the work of
the Jolly Rogers girls to help
maintain the wards.
Because of $500 Oregon peo
ple have been contributing mon
thly to Bundles for Britain, Eng
land will present a special short
wave radio broadcast of thanks
at 8:25, Pacific time, tonight.
The program is titled "London
Calling Oregon." The broad
oast can be picked up here on
31 meters.
Extension Specialist
to Train Leaders in
Patriotic Programs
Miss Izola Jensen, O S.C. ex
tension specialist in community
social organization, will be in
Jackson county Monday and
Tuesday to conduct leaders'
training meetings on patriotic
programs, according to Miss
Marian Farrell, home demon
stration agent.
Material to be offered Is of
a nature that will be helpful
to school, church, P.-T.A.,
Grange or youth organizations
In planning patriotic programs.
With this in mind. Miss Jensen
has asked that any organization
interested in receiving this kind
of help Send from three to five
representatives to the meeting.
The program will include pat
riotic music, skits and pageants,
readings and a sample of the
kinds of visual education ma
terial available in the form of
a moving picture entitled
"Plows, Planes and Peace."
The Medford recreation meet
ing will be held in the Lincoln
school gymnasium on Bartlett
street, Monday at 8 p. m. The
same program will be repeated
at the Gold Hill Grange hall
on Tuesday at 8 p. m. for lead
ers who find it more convenient
to attend in Gold Hill.
