side of his truck brought about
the first meeting in 30 years
between Niedrich and his cous
in, C. E. Dorsch of Portland.
Mr. Dorsch, traveling for Llb
by, McNeil and Llbby company
with headquarters In Portland,
was enrout to San Francisco
Tuesday morning while passing
through Medford he happened
to read the name Charles Nied
rich on the side of a truck park
ed near the Fluhrer construc
tion work on North Holly street
where Mr. Niedrich Is em
ployed. An inquiry by Mr. Dorsch
reunited the two men and dur
ing their visit they discovered
that Mr. Dorsch had been re
siding in Portland for a num
ber of years. The Niedrlchs
have lived in Medford since
1929, Mr. Niedrich being em
ployed in cement work. The
last visit between the cousins
was 30 years ago in Staunton,
111. Mrs. Niedrich said that she
and her husband had motored
to Portland numerous times but
did not know that Mr. Dorsch
resided there. Mr. Dorsch said
that he was under the Impres
sion that the Niedrlchs still re
aided in Illinois.
