Partnership Is Formed With

M. N. Hogan today announced
that he had disposed of part of
his interest in the Halley build
ing on South Central avenue
at Eighth itreet to Loula t.

Mr. Hogan bought the prop
erty short time ago from the
Addie Halley estate. A court
order confirming the sale was
signed recently by Circuit Judge
H. K. Hanna. The itev. u. I .
Belknap was administrator of
the estate. Mr. Hogan has man
aged the property since June 1
and said he would continue his
management of it.
Mr. Hogan said that he, Mr.
Serruys and Mr. Schoolman will
own and operate the property
as a partnership known as the
Crater Hotel. The second floor
has long been used as a lodging
place while business places have
occupied the downstairs. Known
formerly as the Palace hotel, the
property will now be called the
Crater notei.
No First Floor Plana
No plans have been made
regarding the first floor, Mr.
Hogan indicated. Four store
fronts on South Central avenue
remain unoccupied but Mr. Ho
gan said he has received so
many inquiries about the prem
ises that he has lost track of
them. No leases have been given
but there may be an announce
ment shortly regarding the two
spaces on the corner, he said.
The remaining first floor space
is occupied by the Brainerd Stu
dio and Camera shop, Helen's
Beauty shop, Roseborough bar
ber shop and the Yellow Cab
company.
Upstairs Renovated
Since Mr. Hogan took over
the management the second
floor has been completely reno
vated, painted and kalsomlned.
Floors have been sanded and
painted and linoleum has been
laid in soma of the rooms. A
new shower and wash room is
being installed and when com
pleted will contain four show
ers, five wash stands and other
facilities, Mr. Hogan related.
New gas water-heating equip
ment has been ordered and will
be installed in the shower room
to insure ample hot water for
the building, he said.

received and are now being put I

blankets and bed linen have,
been ordered and will be placed
In use as fast as they are re
ceived, Mr. Hogan stated.
The hotel will be operated

CHANGESSEPT. 1
Four schedule changes here
effective September 1 were an
nounced today by United Air
Lines. Two of the changes were
attributed to resumption of serv
ice at Red Bluff, Cal., this stop
having been out since last win
ter. The other two changes were
made to avoid convergence of
too many planes at Portland at
the same time.
The changes, effective Mon
day, are:
Northbound: The Malnllner
now arriving at 12:02 p. m. will
arrive at 12:18 and depart at
12:23 p. m.; the plane now arriv
ing at 3:43 p. m. will arrive at
8:58 and leave at 4:03 p. m.
Southbound: The Mainllner
now arriving at 5:52 p. m. will
arrive at 9:37 and depart at 9:42
p. m ; the plane now arriving at
11:47 p. m. will arrive at 11.32
and depart at 11:37 p. m.
The other five schedules will
remain as they are now.
The northbound plane to ar
rive here at 12:18 p. m. will stop
at Red Bluff as will the south
bound plane to leave here at
11:37 p. m.
