LUZON TYPHOON LEAVES
DEAD AND PROPERTY RUIN
Manila, June 28.-f.TVA heavy
typhoon lashed northern Luzon
island late tonight, leaving five
known dead and extensive pro
perty damage.
The storm had passed over
northern Isabella province, the
weather bureau aaid, and was
traveling In a generally north
westward direction. Manila was
pronounced definitely out of
danger. A wind velocity of be
tween 85 and 63 miles an hour
was indicated.
