IN OLDJAK TREE
How old was the horseshoe
and whi.e did It come from?
That was the question left
unanswered yesterday after
horseshoe had been found Im
bedded in the large oak tree
pulled down Friday in the park
ing space behind the Trowbridge
A Flynn Electric company, 214
West Main street.
The horseshoe was discovered
when the tree was being sawed
up Into blocks. The saw struck
the metal with a whang and
the blow all but ruined the
saw. Only the ends of the horse
shoe protruded from the block
and no effort was made to cut
it out.
