RALPH
TAKEN BY DEATH
Ralph Milton Spencer, of 419
Newtown street, resident of
Medford for the past 14 years,
passed away Thursday at 10:30
p. m., after several months' Ill
ness. Mr, Spencer was born tn Mar
quette, Mich., Sept. 13, 1872.
, When quite young he moved
with his parents to Nebraska,
where they lived for several
years, moving from there to Wy
oming, and later to Mount Shas
ta City, Calif., where he met
Miss Clara Baldwin. They were
united In marriage In 1897. He
and Mrs. Spencer were in the
hotel business in McCloud, Cal.,
for seven years before moving
to Medford.
He is survived by his wife,
three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be eon
ducted from the Perl funeral
home Monday at 2 p.m. Rev. I
Sherman L. Divine, pastor of
the First Presbyterian church
officiating. Interment will take
place In Siskiyou Memorial
Park.

Are Garrison Guests
Among college students re
turning home this past week
was Miss Barbara Garrison,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Garrison of Phoenix who has
been attending San Jose Bible
college at San Jose. Accompany
ing her were Rodney Rayman
and Earl Chambers, also stu
dents at the college. After spend
ing the week-end at the Garris
on home they left Monday
morning for their home in
Brookings, South Dakota.
They conducted services at
the Central Avenue Church of
Christ Sunday morning. Mr,
Rayman spoke at the morning
service on the topic, Forsaken
and Mr. Chambers at the eve
ning service. Mr. Rayman also
spoke during the afternoon at
CCC Camp Prescott where Miss
Garrison led the song service.

First Presbyterian church will
hold a potluck picnic at the
home of Mrs. George Treichler
at Central Point Tuesday at 1
p. m. Those attending the pic
nic luncheon are requested to
