Medford senior high school
will hold its 28th baccalaureate
service for 167 graduating sen
iors tonight at 8 o'clock in the
high school auditorium. The
Rev. Fred Weatherford will act
as presiding minister, and will
offer both the invocation and
the benediction. The Rev. Jos
eph Knotts will deliver the ser
mon. The processional for bacca
laureate will consist of Mendel
ssohn's "March from Athalia"
by the high school orchestra, as
the seniors march in. The con
gregation will sing "Holy, Holy,
Holy" for the opening hymn.
Immediately following the in
vocation by the Rev. Weather
ford, the senior high choir will
sing "Vere Languores Nostros."
The Rev. Weatherford will give
the opening prayer prior to the
sermon by the Rev. Knotts, the
major speaker of the evening.
Baccalaureate services will
be closed by the high school
choir singing Tschesnekoff s
'Thy Holy Presence," and the
benediction from the Rev.
Weatherford. Recessional of the
seniors will be accomplished to
the music of the "Coronation
March" from "The Prophet,"
played by the school orchestra.

The Church of the Nazarene
is sponsoring a Daily Vacation
Bible School to open at 9 a.m.
Monday, June 2, and continue
each day except Saturday and
Sunday from 9 a.m. until noon,
to the concluding date, June 18.
Miss Mable Scheel, teacher in
the Emett, Idaho, high school,
will serve as superintendent.
Other teachers, who have had
public school teaching exper
ience, include Mrs. Verl Mich
ael and Mrs. Ethel Rogers. These
will be ably assisted by Mrs
Anna Carr. Mrs. Geneva Varner.
and Mrs. Dorothy Starkey.
The curriculum outlining a
standard vacation Bible school
will be followed, including Bible
drill, character and moral study,
and recreation.
Arrangements have been
made with E. H. Hedrick, super
intendent of city schools, to re
lease the pupils to participate
in courses offered by the leis
ure arts department, in the
Junior high school shop, just
across the street. These courses
include manual training, wood
carving, basket weaving, paint
ing, leather and copper work.
Children of any church will be
welcome, as well as those who
have no church relationship.
