family being expected to attend.
Mrs. Bishop plans to be gone

ter E. Stram will give a sermon
at the 11 a. m. and 8 p. m. ser
vices Sunday at the Central Ave
nue Church of Christ, of which
he was once pastor. Mr. Stram
resigned the pastorate to travel
as an evangelist. He recently re
turned from Jamaica. British
West Indies. Mr. and Mrs. Stram

Grumann scout planes were ser
viced this afternoon at Medford
municipal airport while their
crews had lunch down town.
Pilots were Capt. H. Frueler.
Lieut.-Com. P. T. Adams and
Lieut. H. Sartoras. Passengers
were Ensigns J. Nolan, R. Camp
bell and E. Fowler. The men
were en route from the Sand
Point naval air station at Seattle.

planes were three of six Gru
mann scouters that were re
fueled here late yesterday aftr
noon while en route from Oak
land to Seattle. Three of the
planes were delivered to the
Sand Point station, and the three
ensigns returning southward this
afternoon were the pilots on the

preme council of the Russian
parliament unanimously adopt
ed a resolution today creating
the Moldavian Union republic,
in which is incorporated the
larger part of Bessarabia, re
cently obtained from Rumania.
This thirteenth member of
the U. S. S. R. is made up of
most of the old autonomous
Moldavian republic, previously
a part of the Ukraine, plus th
newly acquired territory.
The council voted the re
mainder of Moldavia and Bess
arabia, as well as northern
Bucovina, also acquired from
Rumania, part of the Ukrainian
republic.

the session. Its next meeting
will be tomorrow afternoon.
