rant timepiece, may become one
of the mo.st important men In
the national defense program.
Although the connection be
tween the watch craftsman and
the army might seem obscure,
those Identified closely with
defense plans recognize the Im
portance of this highly skilled
worker.
Orville Hagana, one of the
founders of the United Horo
logical association of America,
said his organization was work
ing with the government to
make Its technician members
available, If necessary for war
work. The horoiogical asso
ciation Is the only one In the
United States under which in
dependent watchmakers are or
ganised. More and more, the army and
navy are demanding skilled
workmen to handle and service

test plan to give a picnic to the
losers. The winners of last
quarter's attendance contest
plan to give a picnic to the
losers. However, no date has
been set so all Interested should
be present to settle a date lor
what should be a very enjoy
able picnic.
