Eddie Cantor Show
At Craterian Gets
Audience Approval
Eddie Cantor proved yester
day at the Craterian Theatre
where he opened in "The Story
of FORTY LITTLE MOTHERS"
that he doesn't need a chorus
of a hundred beautiful girls in
scantics to entertain his public.
Playing a real human being.
Eddies scores a distinct per
sonal triumph as an actor.
The story of FORTY LIT
TLE MOTHERS" is the story
of a timid professor who pre
vents a despondent mother from
committing suicide and then In
advertently inherits her baby
which he finds abandoned on a
waiting noon bench.
When the professor gets n Job
at a girls' boarding school he
surrpetiously takes the baby
with him and attempts to keep
It secretly in his rooms. The
girls, who think he isn't as
handsome as his predecessor,
plot to have him fired. Then
they find the baby and. Instead,
become forty little mothers.
Holding his own with the
more mature players is eight-months-
old Baby Quintanilla.
the Infant around whom most
of the action centers, and one
of the most appealing babies
yet to reach the screen.
Also on the program is Frank
Capra'i intensely interesting
"Cavalcade of Academy
Awards," with all the stars who
have won the honors. This is
well worth the price of admis
sion alone.
