was held in the home of Mrs. E.
N. Warner last week. The presi
dent, Mrs. John Keaveney called
the meeting to order. After a
short business session, Mrs. J. E.
Lester, chairman of the mission
ary committee took charge. The
following program was given:
Mrs. J. O. Shaffer, devotional
on the "Light of the Open
Bible"; Mrs. D. V. Piatt sang,
"The Bible Stands"; "The Chris
tian's Source Book, The Bible"
was given by Mrs. F. Albert;
"The Bible and Missions" by
Mrs. W. A. Dawes. Four short
topics on "What the Bible Means
to People of Foreign Lands"
were given by Mrs. R. Hague,
Mrs. O. V. Piatt, Mrs. Ted Gra

report on the Chinese Baptist
Mission of Portland as given at
