Grants Pass Girl
Weds Med ford Man
In Recent Service
Miss Mildred Alice Grable,
daughter of Mr. and Mri. C. H.
Grable of Grant Fau became
the bride of Albin J. Duda at a
ceremony performed Saturday
evening, December 2 at 8 o'clock
in the Sacred Heart parish. The
Rev. Father Augustine Meyer
united the couple in marriage.
The bride wore a blue tweed
suit with black and white ac
cessories and carried a bouquet
of pink and white carnations
and rosebuds. Her sister, Miss
Betty Grable, attended her. She
wore a dark blue suit and a cor
sage of violets.
Bernard Corum acted as best
man for Mr. Duda.
The couple left on a wedding
trip up the coast to Seattle.
They will make their home in
this city.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. John Duda of
Owensvllle, Missouri. Mr. Duda
is projectionist at the Craterian
theater.

liams were hosts for a dinner
party Friday evening at the
home of Mrs. William's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Hennlnger
on West Main street.
Twenty guests were seated at
one long table which was beau
tifully appointed with lace cloth
and Christmas motif. Follow
ing dinner, guests received gifts
from a large electrically lighted
Christmas tree; The remainder
of the evening was pleasantly
speni in visiting.
The guests Included the per
sonnel of the M.M. department
store.

Guild to Have
Parly Monday
Crater Lake Guild of the
Presbyterian church will hold
its annual Christmas meeting
Monday evening, at 8 o'clock at
the home of Helen Holt Wilson,
11 Corning Court. Members
will bring their white Chrlstmjs
gifts, to be distributed as usual.
Toys, clothing, and food will be
appreciated. Each gift Is to be
labeled so that the necessity for
opening them before distribu
tion will be eliminated.
An interesting and entertain
ing Christmas program has been
plenned, and all members and
their friends are urged to attend.

the Sacred Heart church parish
here. They will reside in this
city.
Denzers Observe
Golden Wedding
Date Christmas
December 29 will be more
than the annual observance of
Christmas day for Mr, and Mrs.
F. A. Denzer of Phoenix for on
that date, the well known valley
couple will celebrate their gold
en wedding anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. Denzer were
married In Red Wing, Minnesota
in 1889. They lived in St. Paul,
Minn., until 1914 when they
moved to Phoenix where they
have resided since.
The couple's children include
L. A., Roy E., Marshall P.,
Frank W., Howard E., Mrs.
Elden Corthell and Mrs. George
Drake.
The bride and groom of fifty
years ago will hold open house
for their many friends on Sun
day, December 24 from 2 to 7
o'clock.

corps will hold a regular meet
ing in the armory Thursday at
1 o'clock for luncheon. Election
of officers will be held. Mem
bers are to bring refreshments
and an inexpensive gift.

Yule Program at
Junior High School
Tuesday Evening
The Junior high school Par
ent Teachers association and the
school music department assist
ed by the drama and speech de
partments, will present a pro
gram Tuesday evening at 8:30
o'clock. A P.T.A. business meet
ing will precede the program at
8 o'clock. Members are to note
the change to the evening meet
ing. Supplementing the music will
be four ' Christmas tableaux:
Shepherd scene, Nativity scene.
Wise Men scene and Modern
carolers. The continuity and
spirit of Christmas will be a
pleasant surprise.

auxiliary who will be among
auxiliary dignitaries attending
the district conference to be
held here Wednesday at the Ho
tel Medford.
Of Interest to Medford resi
dents is the recent marriage In
Caldwell, Idaho of Miss Lillian
Wilson and Fred Poole.
The ceremony took place at
the home of the bride's mother,
Mrs. Winnefred Wilson. Vows
were exchanged in front of the
fire place which was banked
with flowers. The Rev. A. Gar
rison, Baptist minister, read the
service In the presence of thirty
five guests.
The bride wore a black dress
suit and a gardenia corsage.
Her sister. Miss Winnefred Wil
son was bridesmaid.
A reception followed the cere
mony. Mr. Poole is the son of Mrs.
Augusta Moore and the sister of
Mrs. Ted Lewis, both of this
city. He attended the Medford
schools and is well known here.
He is associated with Montgom
ery Ward and company in Port
land where they will make their
home in the Carmen apartments.
Edith Beck was hostess to the
Mistletoe club Wednesday for a
covered dish luncheon and
Christmas party.
Blanche Arnold presided at
the business meeting.
Officers elected for the New
Year were president, Freda
Kingsley; vice president, Pearl
Miller; secretary treasurer,
Gladys Gilman. Freda Kingsley
recited a Christmas poem. Gifts
were exchanged and Polly
annas were remembered.
