Amos Smith sawmill was torn
down last week by a truck haul
ing out sawdust. The truck be
came entangled in a guy wire
and pulled the stack over. Mr.
Cook, the fireman, narrowly es
caped injuries from falling tim
bers by rushing out of the boiler
room.
Mrs. August Edwards, who has been
visiting her parents and other rela
tlves at Long Beach, Cel., for 1
month, Is expected home soon.
Revival meetings at the Baptist
church have closed with 22 conver
sions. Reverend and Mrs. Martin have

Hill cemetery at Grants Pass. Mr.
Bunch spent most of his life In Jose
phine county and lived on Williams
creek for several years, having a host
of friends who extend sympathy to
the family. He Is survived by his
wife, four daughters, one brother
and one "sister, and other relatives
