ler by next March was forecast
last night by Prince Hubertus
Zu Loewenstein, former Aus
trian nobleman.

banquet, the prince, who fled
Austria before its annexation by
Germany, said he foresaw a re
vival of democracy everywhere
"if the western powers show
intelligence in the war."
The change In German gov
ernment, he said, "will occur
by next March. It will come
from action led by military gen
erals and democratic citizens
who will overthrow Hitler. If
the western powers show Intelli
gence in the war it may lead
to a revival of democracy every
where. The United States should
play an Important part in the
reconstruction.'
The prince has been lecturing
at Washington State college.

NAZIS INTIMATE
TURKEY TO FACE
FATE OF POLAND
Berlin, Oct. 21. (AP) In
formed nazl intimated today
that Turkey may become an
other Poland.
The intimation and It was
no more than that was based
on the fact that Izvestia, Soviet
Russian government newspaper
in Moscow, said Russia had no
reason to regret Turkey's action
In signing a mutual assistance)
pact with Great Britain and
France.
Izvestia's editorial will be re
published by the entire German
press today or tomorrow.
Commentators pointed out
that Russia throughout her his
tory had resisted British at
tempts to control the Darda
nelles, strategic gateway to the.
Black sea. They said that, as
long as Turkey remained neu
tral, Russia could be satisfied
to leave the Dardanelles In her
friends' hands.
But now that Turkey defin
itely had allied herself with
Great Britain, they asserted,
cause was given for Russia her
self to assume mastery not only
of the strategic gateway, but of
Turkey.
They said they believed Tur
key probably would be carved
up as Poland was by Germany
and Russia,
Meanwhile, a release yester
day by DNB which said that
the challenge of Britain and
France in the European war
had been accepted was de
scribed authoritatively as intro
ducing no new element into ths
existing situation.
