SOUTHERN OREGON COLLEGE OF
EDUCATION, Ashland, Sept. 30.
On registration day, Monday. Septem
ber 35, atudenta of the Southern
Oregon College of Education will be
greeted with two new Instructors on
the staff and a new bookkeeper In
the business office, according to Dr.
Walter Redford, president of the col
lege.
Dr. Winnefred Bradway haa been
added to the staff as the new in
structor In science and will bolster
lower division or Junior college offer
ings at the local college. Miss Helen
P. Simpson of Belleville, New Jersey,
has taken the position of Instructor
In art and supervisor of it In the
training school to fill the position
held by Mlsa Luclle Bur Us, who haa
been granted a year's leave of ab
sence. Miss Marjorle Ann Mills haa
been hired to fill the vacancy left
in the business office by the reslgne,
tlon of Dorothy Dirks Woodell, who
has been secretary to the president
for the past three years.

Dr. Bradway took her bachelor of
arts degree from the University of
Oregon In 1030. During 1929-37 she
served as a graduate assistant In
zoology and In 1928-39 was a teach
ing fellow In zoology and In the
same year received her master of
arts degree from the Oregon uni
versity. She held a position aa In
structor In physiology for the gen
eral extension division at the Uni
versity of Oregon In 1938-30 and was
Instructor In biology In New York
university from 1939 to 1933. During
1932-33 Mlsa Bradway was a teach
ing fellow In physiology at Oregon
State college. Dr. ' Bradway received
her doctor of philosophy degree In
science from the University of Ore
gon In 1933.
Dr. Bradway has published numer
ous articles In scientific Journals and
Is an active member of the Oregon
chapter of Sigma XI (honorary re
search fraternity) and la a member
of the American Association for the
Advancement of Science (western
coaet chapter).

Miss Simpson received her bache
lor of arte degree from Hunter col
lege In New York City In 1928 and
was granted a master of arts degree
from Teachers' college. Columbia uni
versity, in 1929. Miss Simpson served
aa fine arts supervisor for five years
In the public schools of Orand Rap
Ids, Michigan, and held a si ml liar
position In the publlo school of
Belleville, New Jersey.
Mlsa Simpson has exhibited her art
work extensively at the Art Center
in Louisville, Kentucky, In the Art
Gallery In Grand Rapids, Michigan,
and in the Monte lair Art Museum,
Montclalr, New Jersey.
Mlsa Marjorle Ann MllUr, the new
bookkeeper In the business office,
was graduated from Auburn high
school In Auburn, Washington, In
1930. She attended Reed college In
Portland one year, finishing her work
and receiving a bachelor of secre
tarial science at Oregon State col
lege in June of this year.

line will be In effect when the cars
are formally presented to the publlo
late this month, It waa announced
by R. A. Skinner, local Bulck dealer,
following his return from the Paclflo
coast pro-announcement conference
of Bulck dealers and salesmen In
Los Angeles. Sales Manager Hobart
Price, O. V. Meyers and Bill Link
hart accompanied Mr. Skinner.
While at the meeting, Mr. Skinner
Inspected the 1940 Bulck models and
reports them outstanding In style
treatment and mechanical advances
and the "hottest line of new cars
he haa ever previewed In his many
years in the motor car buslnesa.
"While details of the new cars
are to be withheld until the publlo
announcement date," he said, "It la
no violation of confidence to say that
there will be two new Bulck llnea
added for next year. We will thus
have a Bulck to fit every need and
every purse Just above the lowest
price field."
"Price of the 1940 Bulcks are
comparable to 1936 prices and con
sidered the lowest in the company'
history. In addition to substantial
price reductions, the new cars carry
numerous accessories aa standard
equipment at no extra cost, which
were not Included on the care last
year. As a result, the new prlcea
represent considerable saving.! to cus
tomers over the entire range.
"New model were already rolling
down the assembly line at the Lot
Angeles plant when we were there,
and every Indication points to our
