Mrs. Vamey, mother of one of our
first graders, visited school twice, re
cently. The children showed some
of their regular lessons, sang songs,
said poems and told stories. Then
they were very much pleased to have

There are a number of western books,
some other light fiction of the type
requested, and many fine non-flc-tlon
books. These books may be
bo rowed by any adult being near
enough to find It convenient for a
period of from two weeks to a month.

R. H. Seegmlller Is on the sick list
again, and was taken to Medford to
her daughter's home, Mrs. Arthur
Hess, In Medford, so she could be
near medical aid.
Donna Marie Seegmlller was oper
ated on recently In a local hospital
for mastoids. All hope little Donna
Marie will soon be home.

a visitor from Friday to Sunday at

ter Duff, a member of the Irish Trio,
an evangelistic- team which held ser
vices here some years ago, stated
that his alsteri Evangeline, now Mrs.
Archie McNeill, gave birth to a
daughter In Portland October 4.
Mrs. E. M. Landls of Riverside,
Calif., was a guest from Wednesday
to Thursday at the Sanden home.
Mrs. Landls was en route home from
a six month's tour, during which
she visited 81 states, going as far
east as Vermont and New Hamp
shire. The first basketball game of tha
ssason was played last Thursday by
the local town team, who motored
to Butte Falls and played the town
team there. Jacksonville was de
feated. '
