Eagle Point Grange.
One of the largest Orange gather
ings ever assembled In Jackson coun
ty was present at Eagle Point Grange
hall November 8, when about 600
people gathered to witness the dedi
cation of this recently built 'Orange
hall with State Master Ray W. Gill
as dedication officer.
Those taking part In the Inspiring
and beautiful ceremony were officers
of the Grange, Master, I. R. KUne;
overseer, Arthur Kent; lecturer, O Ger
trude Stanley; steward. Fred Dutton;
gatekeeper, Ed. Putman; chaplain.
Ida Kent; Pompna, Mrs. Allen and
executive committee, - Ray Harntah
and Nick Young; assistant and lady
assistant stewards, Lyle Smith and
Julia Davles. Also Mabel Harnlsh
and Beatrice Qalbreath, musicians.
Harry Ward, first Grange master,
acted as master. The four past mast
ers acting as altar bearers were A. O.
Mlttebrtaedt, W. E. Davles, Wm. Perry
and Sam Coy.
An Interesting part of the proceed
ings was the reading of a short hls-t
tory of the Eagle Point Grange.
At completion of the ceremony
State Master Ray W. GUI gave an In
spiring talk, "The Grange Is March
ing On."
Miss Bertha Beck, state Orange see
retary and Mrs. G. W. Th lessen.
state lecturer, Mrs. L'Rena Slack,
state Juvenile matron, all gave Inter
esting short talks. Mrs. Ray W. Gill
also extended greetings.

Harry Wcagant of Talent Orange gave
an original reading; Mr. Haya of Eagle
Point, two numbers on the saw.
The lecturer desires to express her
appreciation and thanks to all those
assisting with the program.
The march to the dining room, led
by state officers and Pomona master,
followed and refiuhmenta were
served by the Home Economlo. com
mittee to about 450 people.
The hall was beautifully decorated
with chrysanthemums and autumn
foliage. Brown brothers of Eagle Point
donating a beautiful basket of gold
en chrysanthemums.
And so, In a new hall, with new of
ficers and new committees, with new
enthusiasm we will soon begin a new
year. With renewed Inspiration, new
hopes and new ambitions we look for
ward to a year of greater achievement
than ever before.
