Farmer up and down th Pacific

threatens their livelihood In the
form of the dictatorial demanda of
the overlords of union labor In con
nection with the marketing of farm
producta.
In certain districts, notably Seattle
and central and northern California,
the bosses of unlonlam have been
able to Impose their demanda to
aucb an extent that farm producta
are excluelveljr handled by union
member. In Seattle all milk de
lire red from the surrounding area
arrived by union trucke. Parmera
are prohibited by the unlona, aa
there la no city, county or atate law
to this effect, from trucking their
own milk. In Ban Francteoo all farm
produce, unleee It to trucked by the
farmer-producer, or his eon, la claaal
fled aa "hot" and will not be han
dled by the city . warehousemen.
When fanners do their own trucking
they are prevented by the unlona
from unloading produce, this work
being done by union members at
eight dollars a day, or a dollar an
bour.
Callorntons Oppose

Table Rock 4-H cluba have been
busy recently winding up their pro
Jecte. The knitting clubs held their
final meeting October as to com
plete their knitting projects.
The 4-H oluba held their achieve
ment program In conjunction with
th Table Rock oommunlly meeting
October 31. Mr. Conrad presented
pins to the following member for
awards for completing their projects:
First year pine. Ernest Smith, Emest
Hamilton and Lore Brennpaholts;
second year cards, Dan Sage, Jeanne
Brennesholts, Luclle Brennesholta,
Marjorle Housley and Marjorle Huna
ley; third year pins, Luclle Smith,
Calvin Housley and Ivan Myers. A
alxth year card waa given Dorthy
Huntley, and a tenth ear oard to
Rebecca Hunaley.
The members were all glad to have
completed their work and are all
planning to do better neat year.

November to give member a good
start at their projecta.

Friday evening Roxy Ann had as
their guests Mr. and Mrs. Ployd of
Jacksonville and Mr. Allen of Orlffln
Creek, together with a group of 40
Orange members from Eagle Point.
Their lecturer. -Mr. Stanley, gave t
splendid program which Included se
lections by their five-piece orchestra:
reading, by Mrs. Swingle; solos by
the "Singing Cowboy," Mr. Holman;
popular numbers played by the 12
pleo "Kitchen Band" dressed In
aprons and caps: reading by Mr
Klein: an amusing skit In which Mr.
Ward and Mr. and Mrs. Perry took
leading parta. Group alnglng and s
ball bouncing relay were also en
