HELD BEST HOAX
Numerous letters have been re
ceived by The Mali Tribune regard
ing the asserted headless woman
which was exhibited at the depot
lot here last Friday and Saturday.
Several of the letters name the
exhibit as being a hoax, while still
others proclaim it to be authentic.
In each case, however, persons have
appealed to this paper to Interview
a physician and obtain facts con
cerning It.
Yesterday, a prominent Medford
doctor was Interviewed regarding the
exhibit, and had this to say: "I
think the headless woman was the
most perfect illusion I have seen.
I don't know how the show obtained
the genuine appearance of the head
less creature, but I do know that
such a thing Is physically Impossible
and therefore false." When asked if
the headless woman might have been
a corpse the doctor replied, "per
haps, but I doubt it. I still think
it the best Illusion I have ever
seen."
