k P. COVERAGE OF
EUROPEAN CRISIS
News Based On Truth and
Facts, Not Rumors, Fur
nished Readers.
NEW YORK, Sept. 80. (p) Gen
eral Manager Kent Cooper today ti
dressed the following to the atari
of the Associated Press:
"Our ataff has Just pawed through
time of extraordinary etreu and
extraordinary responsibility in Its
coverage of the International crisis
The burden haa fallen chiefly on
those assigned abroad, but many at
home also have helped.
I "It haa been a time when calm,
I sound and accurate reporting. In the
midst of rumors and alarms, was a
requisite of highest consequence.
Millions of Americans have made
the reports of the Associated Press
their llrst reliance In their eager
quest for the truth. The ataff has
met that responsibility fully. It has
recorded only the truth. It has re
ported so wars that did not mate
rialize, and no peace settlements
until they were arrived at.
"It Is gratifying to Know that de
velopments were covered with uni
form promptness In many Instances
with surprising and unparalleled
speed. ' But far beyond that, It Is
more satisfying than words can ex
press that nothing you have written
need be erased, but can stand as an
authentic day to day history one
of the great International episodes of
our times.
"KENT COOPER."

4-H CLUB QUALITY
ALL THE TIME!-
WE WERE asked why we make no
extra charge for 4-H Club Beef.
Frankly we don't like to charge extra
for what our customers are used to getting
all the time.
'Tis true we pay more for it but all of it's
cost is not for the beef. The extra is our
cheerful contribution to what we consider
one of the most worth while occupational
youth training movements ever inaugerated.
To show that our customers really do get
4-H quality all the time we mention that we
bave just bought the Lee Bradshaw herd of
fancy Hereford steers. From this herd a
goodly number of 4-H prize winners have
come for the last two years. Merton Brad
shaw 's steer rated second among 60. at the
1937 San Francisco stock show.
Not just once a year, but every day in
the year 4-H Club quality.
