a hospital here, the second victim
of an automobile -truck collision

Spragua, republican candidate for
governor, will launch his campaign
for election on Tuesday night with
an address over radio station KOW
at 7:43 p. m.. In which he Is expected
to outline his program for the atate
and give the voters hla first formal
bid for their support since he ob
tained the nomination.
Mr. Sprogue'a recent efforts have
been centered in Portland where he
has continued his "chats" with vot
ers In all walks of life, giving par
ticular attention to the Industrial
areas. In factories, mills and work
shops, wherever conditions would
permit, Spregue has been talking
with tha working men and seeking
their views on stepa that are neces
sary to end turmoil and strife and
resume const met Ice business activi
ties In the state. Trie program Is a
continuation of the "roadside chats"
Mr. Sprague carried on In every
county of the state In a quiet sur
vey to get the views of the people.
Volunteers from all factions and
partlea continue to join the Sprague
camp and increased activity along
this line has resulted In the call for
several thousand mailings of litera
ture within the last week, according
to Robert O. Boyd, state manager of
the Sprague campaign.

lists every dally paper In the state
behind the Salem editor and makes
