and an Interesting talk by Mrs. Millie
Walker on her trip to Alaska.

ranch which Mr. Steve Qulster once

the past week, motored to Grants

The high school children going to
Medford high are situated In their
places for the coming year. Miss June
Moran and Era Johnston will both
stay In Medford, Delias Kelts near
Jacksonville and Barbara will ride
back and forth on the school bus.
Mrs. Wanda Smith will teach

Mr. Cruse, of near Ruch, reports
that aa he waa coming up Thompson
Creek road about one-half mile from
the Applegate bridge, he saw a moun
tain lion standing In the road. As
he came near it, it arched its back
and Jumped to the outside of the
road and trotted off up the moun
tain. He called Prank Decker with
his hounds but on account of tho
dry conditions the dogs were unable
to track It.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Burleson of
Phoenix were visitors on the creek
September 5.
