Mr. Baylle. manager of Mountcrest,
waa blocking lambs for showing at
the farm when the tour members
arrived. Leaving his work, he devoted
the rest of the day and the following
morning to arranging classes of etook
for Judging, answering questions and
giving Invaluable bits of Information,

Southdown ram lambs, the first ot
that breed to be seen by club mem
bers. Tuesday morning, club, mem
bers returned to Mountcrest and
Judged a class of Hereford bulla and
one of Southdown rams. One of the
rams won first place at the Royal
Stock show In England and la the
flneat animal of his class In the
United States.
Final stop waa at the James Mc
cracken ranch. Here, ft class of pure-
bred Jersey cows waa Judged. Mr
McCracken'a herd Is one of the fin
est In the state, many of his cows
having won sliver and gold medals lo
the Register of Merit testa.
The club wishes to thank all ranch
owners and club leaders for making
this tour possible.
At the regular 4-H meeting, held at
the Torton home Auguat 94, It waa
decided that club members would
pay the balance due on the trailer
scales by assessing each family 11.60,
rather than by having an entertain
ment.
