der on building the world's three
largest electric generators, to be In
stalled on the Grand Coulee project
In Washington, the reclamation bu
reau announced today.
L. N. McClellan. chief electrical en
gineer for the bureau, said the West-
lnghouse bid for the three units was
$3,611,000. The General Electric com'
pany of Schenectady, N. Y., was sec
ond at $2,686,488. The Allls-Chalm
era Manufacturing company bf Mil
waukee bid a.754,727.
The three generators, far larger
than any now in operation, McClel
lan said, will weight a total of more
than 7,000.000 pounds. They are to
be ready for - Installation In about
two years.
Each of the units will have a gen
erating capacity of 108.000 KVA. The
largest generators now m operation.

Under specifications announced by
XcClellan, each unit will have an
outside diameter of 45 feet. A rotor

Frozen Food Toppings

Old-Fashioned Chocolate
4 squares chocolate (U pound)
1 cup granulated sugar
4 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
2 egg yolks, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
Cut the chocolate into small pieces.
Add the sugar, salt and water. Cook
slowly and stir constantly until the
mixture blends. Boil for one minute.
Add the yolks. Mix thoroughly and
cool. Add vanilla. Pour into a Jar.
cover and store in a cold place.
Fruit Surprise
cup crushed pineapple
xt cup raisins
t cup diced peaches
1 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons flour
!4 teaspoon salt
'4 cup orange Juice
(4 cup pineapple Juice '
3 tablespoons lemon Juice
cup water
Mix the fruits, sugar, flour and
salt. Add the rest of the Ingredients.
Cook slowly and stir constantly un
til the mixture thickens. Boll for one
minute, cool and store.
Caramel Pecan
2 cups dark brown sugar
3 tablespoons flour
teaspoon salt
14 cup cream
1 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon vanilla
cup pecans (toasted)
Mix the sugar, flour and, salt. Add
cream and water. Cook slowly and
stir constantly until the sauce be
comes thick and creamy. Cool. Add
the rest of the ingredients and store
In a covered Jar In the refrigerator.
Minted Chocolate Sauce
2 squares chocolate
1 cup dark brown sugar
xk cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon flour
teaspoon salt
1 cup water
: cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
5 drops mint extract
Mix together the chocolate (cut
fine), the sugars, flour and salt. Add
water and milk. Cook slowly and stir
constantly until the sauce thickens
and becomes very creamy. Cool. Add
the rest of the ingredients. Cover,

and signed by the sisters, said they

Harris said the sisters tied elec
