An Interesting meeting was held
Saturday night when Central Point
Grange put on .the program.
Entertainment was under direction
of Central loint lecturer. Ed Vin
cent, and Included numbers of mu
sic, readings, songs, skits and ad
visory talks on matters of Grange
Interest, and recreational games.
Visitors were also present from
Gold Hill and brought up the sub
ject of a plcnlo comprising the
Granges of the north end of the
county. The date of August 14 was
favored, with the Grants Pass park
as plcnlo grounds.

to California for an Indefinite time,
the master appointed R. E. Nealon
to temporarily fill thnt station.
The Grangers voted not to put
up a booth this year at the Gold
Hill fair, due to pressure of work
at that time. Mrs. Harry Ellis an
nounced the Beagle district contem
plated putting on a community sx-
hlblt.
Among officers absent were the
overseer, Burl Burreson, and Gate
keeper Norman Burreson.
In suggestions for the good of the
order, Grangers expressed their ap
preclatlon of Central Point's splen
did program, and suggested the lec
turer Invite some more outside an-
terelnment.

Plans for raising the balance of
our share of money for the trailer
scales were discussed at the regular
meeting of Antelope 4-H club, July
14. held at the home of Dale Blgham,
with nine members present.
Dale Blgham had a stroke of hard
luck recently when hli pig got out of
Its pen and was chased to death by
dogs.
As the thermometer stood at 106,
the business meeting waa rusi:ed and
following refreshments a number of
the members went swimming.
Next meeting will be August 10,
at the home of our leader, Mrs, Carl
von der. Hellen, providing the date
does not conflict wtth the county-
wide 4-H picnic. All members are re
quested to bring their bathing suits.

Mrs. Guy Tex, who underwent a
successful major operation at St.
Vincent's hospital several days ago,
has been removed to the home of

before returning to her home, prob

Ladles' Aid society of the Federated
church met Thursday In the base
ment of the church to further their
plans for kalsomlnlng and otherwise
rejuvenating the clsss rooms, base
ment, auditorium and kitchen. A cov

1:00 o'clock. Sixteen members were
seated at the table, all of whom
had earned one dollar toward de

ous residences. The home now owned
and occupied by Mrs. J. H. Terrltt
was the Farnham home while living
here.
Recent guests at the home of Mr.

The entire company and Miss Blanche
