An Interesting session of the Wo
man's Relief Corps was held Satur
day afternoon, at which time It was
arranged to picnic at Bybee Bridge
Wednesday, July 20, leaving for the
grounds at 10 a.m. Each one la to
bring her own table service for a
covered dtsh luncheon. Ice cream
and coffee will be furnished by the
corps. A good attendance Is desired.
Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Merrltt have
returned from a recent trip to Cen
tralla and report traveling In' the
rain.
Mrs, W. J. Oebhard was hostess
to the Bercon Bible class Thursday
afternoon at her country home. Fol
lowing group singing business was
conducted hy Mrs. Ayers and' devo
tlonals by Mrs, Mead. A very pleasing
recreational hour was enjoyed under
Chairman Mrs. E. O. Faber. A solo
by Mrs. L. Blther was beautifully
rendered. A large crowd was present.
Next meeting will be with Mrs. Mead
near Medford and each guest Is re
quested to bring a dish towel for
use at church suppers and organi
zations connected therewith.

Victor Noel has received the sad
news of the death of his father In
Ogden, Utah. ,
Henry Riley and daughter. Miss
Dorothy, were guests at the E. L.
Farra home Saturday. They were In
the city but a few hours and made
a few brief calls among old friends
of twenty, or more years ago. Mr.
Riley was a plumber at which busi
ness he worked when needed, and
was also a salesman In the Cowley
store. Mr. Riley and family are now
living In Dunsmulr, Calif. Mrs.
Riley Is now In Idaho, where she
has been called by the death of her
father. She will be remembered as
Miss Poore.
Mrs. L. H Smith was a Saturday
dinner guest at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. George Edwards of Medford.
Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Davis and
children left early Sunday for Cam
bria, Calif., for a visit with Mrs.
J. V. Muse, who la the mother of
Mrs. Davis. Mr. Davis Is manager of
the Central Point Safeway store and
expects to return In one week. The
family will remain for a longer
visit. They were accompanied by
