FERN VALLEY, July 15. (Spl.)
Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Dowd of Medford
were calling on friends here Monday.
They were former residents of Fern
Valley.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Martin and
daughter Dorothy of San Francisco,
were over night guests at the E. E.
Marshall home Thursday,
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pederson and
family of Ashland spent Sunday
afternoon at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. J. O. Eld ridge here.
Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Purdue and fam
ily attended a baseball game at Gold
Hill Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Steele of North
Phoenix celebrated their 11th wed
ding anniversary Saturday, July 0. A
very delightful evening was spent
with music and games. Those present
were: Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ward and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Caster and
family, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Marshall
and family. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kan tor,
Jr.. and family. Mr. and Mrs. Orub
and Mrs. Margaret Beer.
Guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Mar
shall Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Dale
Flowers and sons Bobby and Dale. Jr.,
of Medford.
Mrs. Fred Williams and small
daughter Ann returned home from
the Community hospital of Ashland
Sunday.
Royal Miller of Sacramento. Calif
called at the Royal Crest orchard the
first of the week. The Irvin Miller
home also entertained Walter Shipley
of Portland.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wagner of
New York city arrived by motorcar
today to spend a month Bojouming
In the valley. They will be guests of
Mrs. Wagner's parents. Mr. and Mrs.
Louis Brown, at their home on West
Jackson boulevard.
Much entertaining Is planned for
the visitors during their stay.
Mr. and Mrs. Wagner were accom
panied on their westward trip as far
as Portland by Mrs. Wagner's brother.
Mr. Russell Brown, who had been In
the east for several weeks. Mr. Brown
will arrive home from Portland In a
few days.
