Members of the Orange sponsored
a benefit dance at the hall Saturday,
June 0 for Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Straus,
who lost everything they owned in
a fire last week. Excellent music was
donated by a number of musicians
and greatly appreciated by the large
crowd. A nice sum was netted which
with donations and many gifts of
household articles, etc., will help to
give Uie couple a new start in house
keeping. Tiiey wish to thank every
one for the help and kindness shown
them the past week.
The Young O rangers auxiliary of
the local Orange held a potluck sup
per at the ball Friday evening and
made some needed Improvements on
the grounds. Tbe main feature of
the evening was the roast turkey,
tamale pie and Ice cream served for
supper. Sunday evening the same
group enjoyed a swimming party and
welner roast on the river. Wei ners,
buns, punch and Ice cream were serv
ed as refreshments. About twenty
young people were present.

the business meeting a game was
given by the president, Mrs. Rush,
and a letter from Mrs. Frlnk telling
of her trip back to New York was
enjoyed by all. Charlotte Sweet gave
a book report on "Roads to Roam."
The hostess, Thelma Martin served

crackers and pink lemonade. Next
