SHANGHAI. July 6. (AP) Chi

year of war with Japan, gained mo
mentary advantage on three fronts
today.
Along the Yangtze river about Hu
kow they succeeded In laying new
mines to harry Japanese In a newly
planned offensive toward Hankow,
the provisional capital of China.
A defensive boom was strengthened
across the Yangtze, between Wusueh
and Tlenklacheng, 30 miles above
Kluklang which la the next objec
tive of the offensive.
' Along the Yellow river, where dis
astrous floods halted a Japanese

casualties anS forced Japanese to
retreat between Yunnku and Pu

after three days of fighting.
' Along the coast, northeast of
Nanking In Klangsu province, Chi

towns of Fownlng, 00 miles south
of Holchow, and Yencheng, 130 miles
south. .
Japanese w'ero reported to have
retreated to Tungtal, reversing their
offensive to establish a stronger grip
on the province.
The Japanese, meanwhile con
tinued to lay the groundwork for
the new effort to reach Hankow
by way of Kluklang northward up
the Yangtze, and In a roundabout

WASHINGTON, July . (AP)
That old saw about turning America
back to the Indians may not be so
far afield after all. -.
The national resources committee
reported today that "American In
dians are now the most rapidly In
creasing racial stock In the United
States."
There's no Immediate cause for
members of other races to worry,
however. In 1030 there were only
40,680 Indian children under five
years of age, compared to 0,027,306
white children.
The rate of Increase was Indi
cated by the number of children per
1000 mothers. The figures were 000
for the Indians, 481 for the whites.

J, E. Douglas, Liquidating Engineer
Seldom, if ever, have the people of this community had the unusual opportunity to participate in such
a calamity of circumstances. This tragic situation has been brought about by unavoidable measures of
top personal a nature to be published; however these TREMENDOUS PRICE REDUCTIONS should
prove to you the seriousness of this situation by studying the price reductions on each car, and the
long, easy terms to fit any one's budget as outlined below. Any one can read between the lines and
know that such sacrifices can only be made under dire financial stress. As LIQUD3AT0R IN CHARGE
my feelings in this situation are purely impersonal. My job here is to liquidate this beautiful stock of
automobiles regardless of financial losses to the sponsor of this PUBLIC BANK SALE. There is only
one way for me to do this quickly as demanded by my appointee; give big price reductions, very,
very liberal trade-in allowances to make the necessary down payment (your present car need not be
all paid for) and special long, easy terms as outlined below for this PUBLIC BANK SALE EVENT.
Select your car from this list by marking X opposite the car of your choice. Come early to avoid disap
pointment, and if you do not have all the money handy, come anyway. A small deposit will hold any of
these cars. Let us quote you a deal that will astound you. So come prepared to buy. This PUBLIC
BANK SALE is strictly forced liquidation and every car must be sold. All spectators welcomed with
out the least obligation.
