FOR the past two weeks we have been open for
business on Sunday. ... We did this for tho
sole purpose of arousing public sentiment against
. a growing evil which has resulted in many
Oregon cities becoming wide open Sunday towns.
Several groups including the Ministerial Association
have expressed themselves. We appreciate their cooper
ation but that isn't enough. To keep Medford Food
Stores closed on Sunday, buying on Sunday must be
discouraged. Only by the continued activity of tbe vari
ous groups can we continue our policy of Sunday closing.
Sunday opening is something we don't believe in and
do not want but the wishes of the public will govern our
future action.
Until further notice our stores will be closed on Sun
day only by your continued support can we maintain
your food buying to the sis regular business
