The bride was becomingly attired
In a brown ensemble and wore a cor
aage of gardenias. She was attended
by Miss Dorothy Bads. Harry A
Plnneo was the bridegroom's atten
dant.
Mrs. DeLara graduated from the
Billing, Mont., high school and hi
made ber home here with her parents
and brother, Tom Olnn for the past
11 years. She has been associated
with Montgomery Ward and company
in this city for several years.
Mr. DeLara Is manager of the Mont
gomery Ward farm equipment store
in San Joae, Calif. The couple, after
a wedding trip to southern Califor
nia, will make their home In San
Jose,

ters of Union Veterans of the Civil

In the Masonic Temple In Portland.
Mrs. Roy Guyer, president of the

pected to return to Medford In a few

JACKSONVILLE. June 35. (Spl.)
The wedding of Andra Martin and
Andrua Smith won solemnized Wed
nesday. June 33 at 11 o'clock at the
home of the groom's parents, with
Rev. Mallory officiating. The bridal
couple stood before an Improvised
altar of baskets of St. Joseph lilies,
perennial peas and feverfew. The
single ring service was ued. The
brtd waa attired ln blue silk crepe
and carried a bouquet of old fash
ioned flowers tied with pink, blue
and white ribbons. Follow.no the
ceremony, a buffet luncheon was
served to 16 gueats. The dining room
was decorated with lilies and blue
bells.
The newlyweds left for a honey
moon trip which will take them up
the cooRt. as far as Fort Clatpop. On
their return, they will make their
home in Jacksonville.

For Banff Resort

are leaving thla afternoon by motor
car for Seattle where" they will board
the Canadian Pacific train bound for
Banff, Alberta, famous Canadian re
sort. Here the group will attend the
International convention of Zonta,
from June 30 to July 3.
Mrs. Fabrlck la the outgoing presi
dent of Medford Zonta. Mra. Law
rence la the president-elect and Mrs.
Kurtz. Becretary-elect. Mra. Lou
Young, member of Zonta, will accom
pany the party aa far aa Salem where
ahe wilt elng on the program of the
state convention of Christian
churches.
On the Zonta banquet program
Friday evening. Mra. Kurtz will appear
in a group of vocal soloa. Mra. Kurtz
has received much recognition from
the Zonta song which aha composed.
Thla will be presented by the Zonta
quartette of Spokane.
Post-convention trips are being
planned. One of them to Crater
Lake, sponsored by the local organi
zation. The local group will be well forti
fied with Rogue River valley favora
to be distributed at the sessions.
Copies of Crater Lake picture which
recently appeared In an Issue of the
Saturday Evening Post, have been
secured and Individually wrapped In
blue cellophane scrolls. Miniature
candy pears ln cellophane bags label
ed and ribbon tied will also be pre
sented delegates. The Jackson County
Chamber of Commerco haa cooperat
ed to Insure the success of this pub
licity for southern Oregon.
