John Hamilton, 51, Klamath Palls,
and Lee Stonecheat, 38, Portland.

of Central Point sustained slight
bruises Wednesday night when the
motorcycle he was riding on the Pa
cific highway a short distance north
of the Pine Cone was sldeswlped by
an automobile driven by Dr. Stanley
E. Philips of 1455 Riverside avenue,
a city police report said today. Dr.
Philips said In his report that he
was passing another car and did not
see the motorcycle until too late to
avoid hitting It.
Field Trip Southern Oregon Oem
and Mineral society will hold another
of Its weekly field trips Sunday, placo
of exploration to be determined when
the members assemble at 0 a. m. at
the Jackson County Chamber of Com
merce. Members are to bring their
own basket lunches, the society pro

On Practice Hop In command of
Ma, Robin Day. commanding officer
of the Washington national guard
air unit at Spokane, six national
guard pilots were among yesterday's
arrivals at Medford municipal airport,
They stopped for fuel while on a
practice flight to Boise and return.
Each was piloting a Douglas obser
vatton plane. In the squadron were
Capt. O. N. Foster and Lleuta. E. R
Morrow. O. 8. Malstrom, W. B. Har
desty, H. J. Burns, and L. F. Wagner
Group Leaves A party of San
Francisco residents was to leave this
afternoon for Estea Park, Colo., after
having spent the past several weeks
In Medford. In the group were George
W. Balk man. executive of A. Schilling
and company, J3an Francisco, and his
five traveling companions, Mr. and
Mrs. A. Hurtgen, Mra. Lorna Lach
mond, Miss Frttnle Lachmand and
Mrs. Edith Treanor. They have been
registered at the Hotel Medford. Mr.
Balkman spent most of his time In
the Community hospital with Illness.
