WINS BICYCLE IN
Mary Harnlah, 14, of Eagle Point,
was the winner of the second bicycle
In the merchants' Trade and Win
Contest having cast 225.080 votes for
the third and fourth weeks, winning
the bicycle over Roger Olmscheld,
Medford, by a alight margin. Laura
Centner still stands high with Jov
Balding a close second. Keen compe
tition has developed among tho can
didates registered far and wldo over
the community.
Many upsets may be expected In
vote standings during the next few
weeks. The contest manager statfs
that the race Is far from won at thl
time as many dark horses probably
will develop as the finals draw near.
No doubt many candidates are hold
ing votes and no one can predict what
will happen In the final rush of vote
getting. Saturday, June 20, will be vlsltln?
day at contest headquarters, Mala
end Bartlett, at which time portions,
adults only, may register for the'.r
favorite candidate. Each person may
register his name, address and name
of the candidate he Is boosting. For
each registration, the candidate will
be credited with 200 votes which
count on the final prizes only, and
not on a bicycle. Registering may
take place from 9:30 a. m. until 0:30
p. m.
During the day there will be a
Golden West coffee and Durkee's
mayonnaise demonstration at whlt-h
time orders for Golden West coffee
will be taken. Five hundred votes will
be given for each pound of coffee
ordered. However, visitors are und?r
no obligation whatsoever to make
purchases. Rose Bakery will serve
cake. Free samples of Crown Best Pat
ent flour and Borene soap will also
be given.
