P. M.. at the Common Council Cham
ber of The City of Central Point,
Jackson County, Oregon, offer for
sale an issue of $16,000.00 of bonds of
The City of Central Point, being the
heretofore duly authorized The City
ot Central Point General Obligation
Water System Improvement Bonds,
said bonds to be In tho denomination
of $500.00 each, numbered 1 to 30,
both Inclusive, to be dated July 1st,
1938, to mature serially In numerical
order at the rate of $1500.00 per an
num, on the 1st day of July of each
of the years of 1039 to 1048, both in
clusive; said bonds to bear Interest
at tho rate of and not to exceed Four
per cent (4) per annum, payable
semi-annually on the 1st day of July
and January ot each year, principal
and Interest payable at the office of
the Treasurer ot Tho City of Central
Point. Central Point, Oregon.
Said bonds, or any thereof, not
then matured, to bo subject to re
demption at par and accrued Inter
est on the 1st day of July, 1040, or
any Interest paying dnto thereafter,
upon publication, at least thirty days
prior to contemplated redemption
date, of one notice of Intended re

The Grange
Eagle Point Orange.
Eagle Point had a very Interesting
session on June 7, when the Talent
Orange brought their degree team
and conferred the third and fourth
degreces on ft number of Candida tea
ot Eagle Point and Talent Oranges
In a most pleasing manner. Excel
lence of the degree work, beautiful
tableaus and tine drills excited much
favorable comment.
Eagle Point Orange Is very appreci
ative of the Talent Orange courtesy
In doing the work for us.
Arrangements were made to 'have
the Pomona degree team confer the
fifth degree at Eagle Point hall June
10, which was done and thirty-five
members of the Eagle Point Orango
received the degree of Pomona togeth
er with two members from other
granges.

Curtains which the hall commit too
had provided for the new hall were
on display and were very beautiful.
Legislative commltteo reported briefly
on the two new bills being Initiated
by the state grange, the one-house
legislature and the people's utility
district certificate Insurance.
The lecturer announced exempli fl
ea t ion of some of the grange floor
work would be a feature of the lecture
hour program June 21. This numoer
had been arranged for the beginning
of the year but duo to full programs
had been postponed.
Report of the alternate delegate to
the state grange conference, Mrs. Be
a trice Oalbreath, will be heard at this
meeting.

and Mrs. Arthur Kent, Mr. and Mrs

for 30 band uniforms and a sewing
committee composed of Mesdamea
Peters. Beck and Heckert waa appoint
ed to take charge of making uniforms
with the expectation that volunteer
helpers will assist.
A finance committee composed of
Mrs. Woodward, Mra. Ayera and Miss
Albert was also appointed.
These organizations pledged tha
following amounts towards the band
uniform fund: School board, $38:
