end.
Sunday afternoon at the local high
school park, Yreka, Calif,, sends Its
Southern Orogon league team against
the Craters In an encounter that has
all the earmarks of proving muoh
tougher than the respective stand
ings of the two clubs would Indicate.
Other circuit encounters on that day,
the fourth In the first-half pennant
chase, sees Ashland traveling to
Crescent City and Glendale to Grants

expected to start loading up with

nounced today the Yreka manage
ment had notified him of the release
of eight reserves and the signing af
the same number of newcomers, most
of them college ball players.

Jacobs received unsatisfactory reports
on tonight's probable weather. It
was the second postponement for the
bout, originally slated for last night.

Med ford Mall Tribune trapshoot,
one of the annual highlight events
for local target busters, will open
with big entry list at the airport
grounds Sunday morning at 10:30
.Attractive ( programs were mailed
early this week to all registered
shooters In southern Oregon, with
the result that mall entries com
menced yesterday.
Among outside shooters will be Al
Rlehl of Portland, who will cashier
the shoot, and John Camp of Cor
vail Is, who arrived lost night to do
little ' practicing before the big
event.
On account of the promising at
tendance, cash optional entries were
added to the program last night In
addition to a generous collection of
trophies. John Tomlln, present holder
of the beautiful Mall Tribune trophy,
will defend Ita possession Sunday
morning. Klamath Falls shooters,
for years anxious to take the Tribune j
trophy away from Med ford, will be
represented by a large delegation A

Good Salmon Fishing
Glenn Wooldridge, who operates a
fishing barge In the Rogue, below

salmon were landed at his place on
Wednesday before 7 a. m. Many more
