Officer Transferred Capt. Gerald
J. Reld. field artillery, who hrs been
on duty with the Medford CCC dis
trict since the dlsbandment of the
Redding district November 1, has been
transferred to the 77th field artillery
at Fort D. A. Russell. Marin, Texas.
Captain Reld Is one of four, regiilar
army officers on duty with the Med
ford district. He has been on tem
porary duty at Redding, Cal.. since
being transferred here from the Red
ding staff. Captain Reld plans to
leave within a few days and expects
to be granted an extended leave of
absence before reporting for duty, in
Texas.

today Issued a warning on foxtails
and repeated a previous warning on
raw fish.
The season is now here when fox
tails are prevalent, and care should
be exercised by owners at dog and
cat pets. It was emphasized. The fox-
talla get Into the feet of dogs and
rata going Into fields and Into the
ears of long-eared dogs, the society
pointed out.
Unless they are removed, the fox
tails work their way Into the bodies
of the animals, causing great pain
and sometimes dath, the society
counselled. Owners of pets should be
careful to remove the foxtails, It
was urged.
