When you scanned the front page today, did it occur to you that this paper
maintains a corps of veteran newspapermen throughout the world to gather
the news you read? The sun never sets on these able reporters. Week in,
week out, they are busy on a thousand fronts from Peoria to the Pyramids,
from Tokyo to Timbuktu. With the same seasoned skill they handle both big
news and small. The strategic offices from which they work dot the map in
every continent.
Anonymous or unknown to most newspaper readers, these correspondents
make up the diversified, far flung staff of The Associated Press. Day and night,
on land and sea, north, east, west and south, this vast organization collects
the news of the world accurately, swiftly and completely. Because this paper
is a member and working partner of The Associated Press, its readers have
such a mighty news staff tirelesslv at their service.
