tion of water pipe linos for the City
of Central Point. Oregon, are solicited
and will be received at tho office of
the Recorder of said City in the City
Holl until 7:30 o'clock p. m. of tho
24th day of May. 1938. and then pub
licly opened and road.
The construction for which such
sealed proposals are solicited will con
sist of approximately 3100 lineal feet
of eight-Inch cast Iron pipe; approx
imately 1760 lineal feet of alx-lnch
oast Iron pipe and approximately 8000
lineal feet of copper service tubing
with miscellaneous valves, fitting,
apparatus, appliances and appurten
ances requisite to the proper con
struction of said water pipe line.
Plans, specifications and other con
tract documents are on file at tho
office of said City Recorder of Central
Point and copies ot the same may be
obtained upon application therefor,
said applications accompanied by a
deposit In the aum of five dollars per

of both Miss Thelma Stringer and
Mrs. Katherlne Denser gave an x
oeltent program, after which each
youngster presented his mother wltn
an attractive gift made In school, In
cluding silhouettes and art pieces
done on wood with verses oomposed
by the children. There were also
dainty nasturtium plants growing In
paper oups, as a surprise to the moth
er. For many week busy little
hand had nursed the young plant,
and one freckled boy wa proud that
his had grown the tallest. He said
he watered It every three days. Re
freshments were served at the olose
of the afternoon events.

It may take the little ones as an
excuse to get the old folks to the
olrcus, but It took not even an ex
cuse for several grownups to try out
the play equipment at McKee bridge
forest park. Local ditch cleaners
admitted scooting down the' slides
with much glee during their noon
rest period, and the Jackson county
bridge crew, also, nooning on the
grounds, found great Joy, as well a
difficulty, in balancing one another
on the teeters.
