nounced In Eugene Friday at a tea
given by Mlsa Wllla Loomls. The wed
ding will be an event of June 9 In
Portland.
Miss sacomano. daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. J. Sacomano. waa In
structor In the Junior nigh school In
Grants Pass last year. She is a grad
uate of the University of Oregon and
la a member of Kappa Delta, social
sorority.
Mr. Mullins. also la a graduate of
the University of Oregon and Is a
member of Phi Delta Kappa, national
educational honorary. He was princi
pal of the Junior high school In
Grants Pais for six years, coming to
Medford this year as principal of the
Junior high school.
Mr. Mullins Is a member of the
local Rotary club and Is active in
civic affairs.

Easter Egg Hunt
Enjoyed Saturday
The Juvenile Degree of Honor club
members enoycd an Easter egg hunt
Saturday afternoon at the home of
the club director, Mrs. H. G. Wilson,
on Chestnut street.
Nineteen members and seven guests
participated In the hunt. Visitors
Included Carmine McGrew of Klam
ath Falls, Paula Leavitt, Loyal Davis,
Patricia Yeager, Eleanor Wheaton.
Sammy Anderson and David Wade.
Prizes for the hunt were won. by
Clement Haas, Sammy Anderson, and
Barbara McGrew. Outdoor bean bag
game prize v;aa awarded to Margaret
Sullivan and her tenm.
Refreshments were served on the
lawn by Mrs. Wilson who was as
sisted by Mrs. Frances Bentley.

Shrine Dance
Anticipated For
Thursday Evening
One of the most brilliant social
events of the spring season will be
the Hillah Temple benellt ball, to be
held In conjunction with nationwide
charity Mils to help swell the fund
for the Shrlners' hospitals for crip
pled children. The southern Oregon
dance will be held at the Oriental
Gardens, Thursday, April 21, with
Roy Elliott as chairman of the com
mittee in charge. Louis Older of
this city will head the local ticket
committee. Sam Stelnbaugh of Grants
Pass will supervise ticket sales in th-it
city and Sam Jordan, Ashland biisl
neas man, will direct the Ashland
ticket sale.
The Shrine benefit ball will be
open to the public and all funds
will be used to further the crippled
children hospital movement. Steve
Whipple and his Swin Music Makers
will furnish the melody for the en
joyable party.
Twenty children from this locality
have benefited from treatment re
ceived at the hospital.

George Wright, 60, a resident of
Medford for a number of years,
passed away near Phoenix Monday
evening. He leaves a sister In St.
Louts and many friends In Jackson
