after giving Belcastro the business

Chick figures that Stone wont prove
auch a tough opponent.
Even the opener botween Murdock

GHOSTS!
THERE may be ghosts in your house! Not the table
juggling, wall-knocking variety but the ghosts of mis
pent dollars.
"I wish I hadn't bought that" ... "I made up my mind
in too much of a hurry" . . . "That didn't wear well" . . .
"I saw the same thing, five minutes later, for a lot less
money."
How often are you haunted by thoughts like these?
There's a way to banish such ghosts . . . and it's right
here in this newspaper . Read the advertisements.
They'll tell you ALL, before you buy. You'll know
exactly what to expect for your money. You'll know
how many ice-cubes this refrigerator makes . . . how
many miles you'll get on a gallon of gas with that
motor car . . . how much you should pay for Winter
underwear. There's scarcely a thing you need or use
in daily life not mentioned in the advertisements!
Read the advertisements! Compare them. You'll
spend your money without regrets!
Card at
Medford was mighty. On (he other
hand, tha Tornado had time after
tlma proved Its offensive power (83
points In four games), but against
Klamath Falls it failed to register a
single marker.
It can't, however, be definitely
stated the Tornado showed a
weak offensive against the peli
cans. Those Klamathltes were
defending their goal line bit
terly, and penalties at crucial
moments halted the Tornado a
few yards shy of pay-dirt. At
that Medford rolled up 241 yards
from scrimmage to 156 for the
Pelicans, a pretty fair Indication
of Tiger superiority.
It was defensively that the Torna
do really reached the heights. When
the pressure was applied, the sup
posedly weak line was more than
equal to the task. Dan Ehrhart was
a great tackle against Klamath Falls.
Rugged Dominie Glovanlnl found
that out. With a first down on the
Medford seven-ysrd line, Glovanlnl
three times tested the right side of
Medford's forward wall, and when It
was all over the ball was still three
yards from the final stripe, Ehrhart
personally taking care of the Klam
ath fullback. From end to end, the
Tornado's first line of defense turned
In a magnificent performance. If It
can remain at the peak reached
against Klamath Falls, If it continues
to tackle low and viciously, there
may be no stopping the Tigers from
here on out.
